Interview

Tell your tutor about your playing, your gear, your goals, and your schedule so every later lesson fits you.

Interview

Before the first lesson, your tutor asks you four quick questions. Your answers tune everything that follows: how much it explains, which songs and players it uses as examples, and what a realistic practice plan looks like for your life.

All four questions arrive at once, each takes a few words to answer, and every one is optional.

What you’ll be asked

  1. How long you’ve been playing, and what you can already do — “never touched one” and “ten years of campfire chords” both work.
  2. What gear you have: electric or acoustic, an amp, a tuner, a metronome.
  3. What music you want to play. Name artists or songs; this is where your tutor learns what Earth sounds you’re chasing.
  4. How much time you can practice on a typical day. Honest beats ambitious.

What gets saved

Your answers are stored with your student ID so your tutor can pick up where you left off in later lessons, along with a one-sentence summary shown on your homepage. That’s it — nothing here asks who you are.

Changing your answers

Nothing locks you in. Bought an amp? Discovered you actually want to play bossa nova? Just tell your tutor, in any lesson, and it updates the interview and adjusts from then on.
